The framework of mature trees and bushes that surround Gilmerton Court and the established garden contained within the quadrangle are sympathetically maintained by gardeners to keep a natural feel and provide residents with something beautiful to look at all year round. There is a strong sense of being surrounded by greenery and open space which makes the flats a lovely place to live.
In order to ensure that the gardens can be a haven to everyone who lives at Gilmerton Court certain activities, including ball games, unsupervised play, exercising animals, are not permitted. There are playgrounds, parks and open spaces nearby where children can play freely, sport can be practised and animals exercised. Please see the House Rules for detailed information.
